Warriors Season Comes to an End
The Far Northeast Warriors Boys Basketball team ended an incredible season after exiting the 5A/4A Playoffs in the 2nd round. The Warriors went 18-7 before narrowly losing in overtime to the Boulder Panthers 48-45. Congratulations to our entire Warrior team on an amazing season! |

DCIS alumna returns to teach at DCISM
Linda Castillo, a 2007 Denver Center for International Studies alumna and recent graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, will return home to teach at DCIS at Montbello this fall. "The goal is to prepare our students and have them come back, be role models and mentor our students," Principal Trent Sharp said about this happy homecoming. "The actual success of our school will be on DCIS graduates, their legacy and building on it." |

For many years, students at the Montbello Campus have had to endure temperatures were chronically too hot or too cold in classrooms. That concern will soon be a thing of the past thanks to Denver voters. Through the Denver Public Schools (DPS) voter-approved 2016 Bond, the campus is getting an $8 million heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) makeover.“There is a reason the Montbello Campus was chosen as the first construction project to come out of the 2016 bond,” said Superintendent Tom Boasberg. “The campus is the heart of the Montbello community. It is so important that we get to work on building efficient and high-quality heating, cooling and ventilation systems to improve the learning environment for our students.”
