Fall Sports Information for High School Students
Students who are interested in playing sports at DCISM must complete a sports information packet and turn it in at the Evie Dennis campus. Fall sports include Football, Softball, Boys Tennis, Boys Soccer, Cheer, and Drumline. If you are interested, you can pick up packets in the DCISM main office. All students participating in a sport must pay an athletic fee ('Pay to Play'). For non-Free/Reduced Lunch it is $60; if the student receives free or reduced lunch it is $10 with a waiver they must fill out (it will be in the packet they pick up in the office). Parent Meet and Greet ~ New DCISM Principals ~ May 8th
Parents, students, and family members are invited to meet our new middle school principal Mr. Ruben Morris and high school principal Dr. Julie Murgel, both of whom will start in their new roles for the 2014-15 school year. DCIS Foundation Luncheon
The DCIS Foundation is having their annual luncheon on Thursday, April 11th to raise money for travel scholarships for DCIS students. This year alone, the Foundation has provided financial support for over 30 DCIS at Montbello students traveling to China, France, Washington, D.C., Greece, Italy, and Spain. ELA Parent Action Committee Meeting ~ Tuesday March 25 or Friday March 28
If you are a parent of an English Language Learner (ELL) you are invited to a Parent Action Committee next Tuesday at 4:30pm or Friday, March 28th at 7:30am at DCISM. Parents will learn about Laws concerning ELLs, Teacher Evaluation and Special Education and ELLs.
